Eiffel Tower Bag
Everything but the Kitchen Sink, you know that saying?
When I became a Mom, my small purses turned into huge bags that I could literally bring Everything But The Kitchen Sink! I remember that TVC where this mom brought everything that her kids were asking for (including their pets!) while they were on a bus tour. That is so me. I do not want to have a cranky son because mommy forgets some stuff he needs. However, for the past few days, I found myself carrying small purses again, yey! Probably because my son is becoming to be more and more independent and he packs his own stuff in his own backpack now.
When I saw this hand-crafted Judith Leiber crystallized handbag being carried by Carrie in SATC, I couldn't help but be in awe with how unique, fashionable and creative it was. Of course, it was ridiculously expensive at $450 without crystals and $2,100 with Crystals. But there is a cheap alternative.
Moving on to the alternative, Patricia Field made this cheaper version of the Eiffel Tower Bag only at $86. Isn't it cool? But this isn't the type of small purses that you would see me carrying everyday.

dream business
Wow, I am beginning to feel very ecstatic with the amount of invites we received from friends and relatives who already knew that we are visiting NYC and Chicago come May and September of this year. Most of them are asking us for specific dates already so they could file for their vacation leaves at work. I really heart HEART old friends and most of all, I miss them mucho! These trips are definitely going to be very exciting, a series of sweet mini-reunions. One of the invites we received is from a friend who after almost one year of not keeping in touch because he got really busy with work and took one of these business online degrees has finally risen up from his long hiatus. He apparently hibernated from people so he would know what passion he really has and that he need to pursue. He took different business courses and eventually venture into franchising business. I cannot wait to see in May and learn more about his booming business.
Oscars Best Dressed
I know this is a tad late but nevertheless, I am posting my top 3 best-dressed for this year's Oscars. I have been an avid Oscars fan for almost 5 years now, because of those gorgeous celebrities all dolled up!
Seriously, Kirsten Stewart would make it to my list if only she had better posture that night, geez she was so awkward while her photos were being taken tsk tsk. Apart from the beautiful tuxedos and gowns, I love LOVE the make-up, everybody was flawless! The make-up was subdued, fresh and very elegant.
Without further ado, here's my top 3: Elizabeth Banks, Rachel Mc Adams and Carey Mulligan.

Do you remember this Guess Model??? Laetitia Casta has been my very first girl-crush and very first favorite ramp/commercial model. I remember I would save money just so I could buy clothes from Guess and cut-out those Guess paperbags and use them to cover my notebooks hee hee. I think I was just in highschool. I would often follow her outfits then.
So where is she now? She's married with kids. She's active in film and theatre in France but these photos of her way back in 2008 are something worth sharing. How come I didn't know that she was once a Louis Vuitton Image model. She's just beautiful!

a different kind of Gold
Ever since I had DS, I enjoyed every holiday tremendously. Christmas, Halloween, Easter-egg hunt, name it. I've looked at these occasion differently compared when I was still single and all bored with Halloween invites and Easter-egg hunting. Our costumes are all set for the upcoming Easter-egg hunting marathon and I hope I strike some rare golden egg as my treat hee hee. IMPOSSIBLE. You see, I have long been researching on how gold coins and bullions can make money just by investing or trading them. The weather has been very chilly and I hate that this Winter has been so harsh on my part of the woods.
Moving on, do you know that there are 6 important colors this Spring in terms of Fashion trends? These are Seafoam green, Silver, Acid Yellow, Scarlet Red, Blush Pink and of course, Lavender. Read about it at InStyle Fashion Trends.

Since purple's softer sister delivers a touch of class to almost any look, it's the best shade to try a sheer dress style with. Round out the whimsical ensemble with ballet flats during the day and strappy, pearl-colored sandals in the evening. Up the romance factor even further with tops and dresses adorned in ruffles or floral embellishments. The brighter, the better is the rule of thumb for dark skin tones while fair complexions complement lighter shades of lilac.

Miu-Miu
It is very rare that I fantasize over a designer purse, I mean never actually. As in the type that you would think over and over again, dream about it in your sleep and keeps haunting you. I am still the kind of person who knows which designer purses I can only afford and which I could only dream about. Not until I saw this Miu Miu Timeless Gray Leather in Mattelasse Hobo. I just can't stop thinking about it and would often think how beautiful I would be carrying this bag hee hee. Yes, I used to be a huge-bag user but lately, I found myself, carrying small purses. Good thing because fashion trends said that small bags are in this year. With all the bills on top of our heads, more target savings this year and other future expenses, this purse tagged at $1,495 is something I would not get this year or the next. Maybe in 5 years hahah! But maybe not.

when you are in the hole
Who says that once your name is tagged as having a bad credit standing means that no bank or lending company will trust you to acquire loans to fix those bad credit loans or bad credit credit cards? A friend of mine has been on the debt hole for as long as I can remember but last year she applied for credit cards for bad credits, to consolidate all her debts and restructure her finances. She was able to pay all of her debt's in a year's time because of the low interest they gave her. She is now enjoying a well-managed financial status and a very good credit standing. Thanks to credit cards who accept clients with bad credit standing and give them the flexibility they needed.
On the other hand, what about those people who have already been tagged and are even listed in Michigan bankruptcy records? What do they do? I guess all it takes is another 10 years to build up those credit score but do not fret, we all get to have our second chance in life.

looking for swimwear?
Heck, the weather is getting warmer each day and the sun is shining brighter by the minute, my mind is set for Spring and Summer but my body is not. Yay! I need to drag myself to pursue with the detox, diet, working out, detox, diet, working out, repeat 10 times, so I could rock a body that would be ready for a swimwear come Summer. Oooh with all this swimwear for women collection at The Orchid Boutique, one would really try harder and meet their weight goals this Summer. Especially since Winter this year has been a harsh one, we want to enjoy the sunny weather and show a little more skin this time. Enough of my weight woes, I might not be able to wear that particular swimwear 2010 style which is known as New Agua Bendita, but I have other choices at The Orchid Boutique. The site is full of swimwear collections that would flatter your body. I actually saw a 1-piece swimwear that could kinda conceal the flabby parts of my body and with that light and airy style.
